Video Editing Agreement
Issued 17 October 2026 · Version 1
This agreement starts on the date the Client signs below.
1. The work
The Editor edits short videos from footage the Client sends. That includes cutting, captions, music, simple graphics, colour fixes and exports sized for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook.
Each month covers up to 12 videos, each up to 90 seconds long. Filming, scripts, thumbnails, long videos, posting and ads are not included unless both sides agree in writing.
2. Delivery
Each video is delivered within 2 business days of the Editor receiving all the footage and notes for it. Videos are delivered as a download link.
3. Changes
Each video includes 2 rounds of changes, asked for within 7 days of delivery. New footage or a new idea counts as a new video.
4. Price and payment
- The price is $150 USD per month.
- Each month is paid in full, up front, before that month's work starts.
- The first payment is due when this agreement is signed. Work starts when it arrives.
- After that, payment is due on the same date each month, through the invoice the Editor sends.
- If a payment is more than 5 days late, work pauses until it is paid.
- Unused videos do not carry over to the next month. A month that has started is not refunded.
5. Length and cancelling
This agreement runs month to month. Either side can end it with 7 days notice by message or email. The Client keeps every video that was delivered and paid for.
6. Who owns what
Once a month is paid, the Client owns the finished videos from that month. The Client always owns their own footage, logo and brand. The Editor's project files, templates and presets stay the Editor's. The Editor may show the work in a portfolio unless the Client says no in writing.
7. The Client's part
The Client sends footage, logo, fonts and clear notes, and has the right to use everything they send. The Client is responsible for what is said in the videos, including any claims about credit results, and for following the rules that apply to their business. The Editor uses royalty free music. Trending sounds are added by the Client inside the app when posting.
8. Private information
Both sides keep each other's private information private. That includes customer details, results, prices and logins.
9. Limits
The Editor does not promise views, followers or sales. The Editor is not responsible for platform takedowns or reach. The Editor's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the most recent month.
10. Working relationship
The Editor is an independent contractor, not an employee. The Editor sets their own hours and tools.
11. The whole agreement
This page is the whole agreement. Changes must be in writing, and a message or email counts. Electronic signatures count the same as signatures on paper. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
